The new delivery blockchain alliance includes nine of the planet ’s major firms in the business of shipping operations and logistics.
Nine leading terminal operators and shipping companies have signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to establish an open digital platform based on dispersed ledger technologies (DLT), The Maritime Executive, a significant industry source for maritime and marine news, reported Nov. 6. The MoU, geared toward forming a consortium to come up with a delivery industry blockchain alliance called the International Shipping Business Network (GSBN), has been signed with the planet ’s major shipping operators throughout the China International Import Expo in Shanghai on Nov. 6. The report notes that the software solution for the worldwide delivery business network is going to be provided by CargoSmart, a Hong Kong-based company specializing in shipping and also logistics.CargoSmart initiated the initiation of the blockchain shipping alliance, and also the very first program of the recently established international delivery business community is scheduled to December 2018.
