93 Percent of Brits Have Heard of Bitcoin, but Only 4 Percent Have Bought It, Survey Shows

UK market research company YouGov’so survey on Bitcoin shows that 93 percent of Brits know about the currency, but aren’t very likely to buy it.
The vast majority of British people 93 percent – have heard about Bitcoin (BTC), however, only 4 percent claim to have purchased it, according to a recent poll by UK market research company YouGov published Nov. 7. According to the survey, conducted this past month, eight out of ten Brits have heard of Bitcoin, nevertheless , they report not understanding it. Just 4 percent of the surveyed claimed they understand Bitcoin “very well,” while 23 percent state they are aware of it “fairly nicely,” with men almost three times as likely as girls to say (33 percent against 12% ). Younger Brits prevail among people who claimed to understand Bitcoin, the report states.In terms of actual investments in Bitcoin, younger taxpayers are also in first location. One in eleven (9 percent) of British 18 to 24 year olds have bought Bitcoin, compared to just only one in a hundred (1 percent) for people over 55. But overall, only 4 percent of respondents have bought Bitcoin, together with the gender break down considerably more men — 6% of men, compared to 1 percent of girls surveyed.Additionally, an important amount of young men and women, 36 percent of those surveyed in the 18 to 24 year-old selection, claim they personally know someone who has purchased Bitcoin before.Source: yougov.comThe German Consumer Centers of 2 federal states, Hesse and Saxony, have recently conducted a similar survey.
